As I was listening to a podcast this week (could that be called “audio learning”?), I realized I’ve come across my most favorite podcasts simply by word of mouth. Idea sparked! What better way to share the love than to broadcast my current top 5 podcasts.
1. PaleOMG Uncensored For endless laughs, kick ass work-from-home advice, killer workouts, and the BEST food inspo, I turn to Juli Bauer Roth. She is the brainchild behind PaleOMG, and after following her for years I am still impressed with her creativity and drive. I guarantee you’ll get a kick out of her, even if just for her boundless passions and sailors mouth.
2. Goal Digger If you’re anything like me, you’re looking to surround yourself with those that influence you in a positive manner. This girl, this goal digger, Jenna Kutcher, is amazing! She’s smart, compassionate, honest and an absolute stunner of a business woman. And she share’s all her magic with others so they may thrive too, check her out.
3. Meathead Hippie Well this is the science, nutrition, fitness in me getting all hyped up. Emily Schromm is a self proclaimed meathead hippie and here’s a line she writes to describe herself: “Deadlifts and squats meets lemon balm and lavender. “How can I resist that description?? Anyhow, she hosts a myriad of brilliant guests and engages in extremely interesting conversation with them all.
4. Limitless Alex Theis has been a positive influence and role model for several years now. Not only have I felt encouraged to reach for my dreams, I’ve realized potential in areas I’d not been aware of before. Alex provides action tips with each podcast, and honestly that’s what first got me hooked. Take a look through his fabulous collection, there’s something for everyone there.
5. The Paralegal Voice Last but not least, this podcast is one place I find fuel to keep my paralegal fire stoked. I’ve found many legal/law themed podcasts to be boring and long-winded, so coming across this podcast was a breath of fresh air.
As a wrap up, I offer a gem of a statement I heard last night while unwinding with yoga led by SaraBeth Yoga on YouTube:
A present mind is a calm mind. A mind in the past may be depressed. A mind in the future may be anxious. Observe where your mind goes. Practice non-judgment, only compassion as you reel your mind back into the present. Use your breath and sensation as an anchor.
