Four no (or very low) cost tools for self-care that I’ve relied upon for years now:
- Yoga with Adriene
- Fresh air and sunshine
- Sarah Beth Yoga
- Warm, soothing bath
While there are a huge plethora of options out there, these four seem to be the theme for me year after year.
I have always prioritized exercise for my physical and mental wellness, but it usually comes with a cost either for equipment or gym fees. I wanted some yin for that yang without any fees.
There are several other no-cost yoga providers on YouTube that I cycle through as well. I would be remiss to not list these tools as well. All yoga teachers offer their own unique vibe and custom leadership style. Find what feels best for you during that phase or season of life. Many incorporate their own practice and journey into their teachings, so despite the virtual mat space/classroom, there is still a personal feel.

I realize I’ve listed a bunch of YouTube yogis as “tools”. Well, you know what, they are! They’re good at what they do, they continue to sharpen their skills and they deserve a place in the toolbox. Don’t discount your own wellness by overlooking tools that fit your lifestyle. Get in tune with what you need and then find a way to incorporate it into your self-care routine.
